			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Please join us for the Fall Reading Group.</p>
<p>In 399 BCE, Athens executed Socrates for impiety and corrupting the youth. Plato immortalized the trial and death of Socrates in his dialogues: <em>Euthyphro</em>, <em>Apology</em>, <em>Crito</em>, and <em>Phaedo</em>. These are not merely historical dialogues, but philosophical treatises that examine the nature of piety, philosophy, justice, and death. The Reading Group will discuss each of these dialogues and the philosophical issues they raise.</p>
<p>Each meeting will take place at the <a href="http://www.ethicsandentrepreneurship.org/">Center for Ethics and Entrepreneurship</a> office on the second floor of Burpee, from 1-2pm. There will be light refreshments. A free copy of the book will be provided to participants.</p>

<p>Dr. Salinas Leon is President and CEO of the Mexico Business Forum in Mexico City, Mexico, Professor in the Department of Economics at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), and weekly columnist for El Economista. He received his Ph.D. in Philosophy and Political Theory from Purdue University.</p>
<p><strong>William Kline: David Hume and Ethics</strong><br />
March 17</p>
<p>Dr. William Kline is Assistant Professor of Liberal Studies at University of Illinois, Springfield. He received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. He has published in the Journal of Value Inquiry and the Journal of Business Ethics.</p>
<p><strong>Jeffrey P. Orduno: Property Rights and the Law</strong><br />
March 30</p>
<p>Jeffrey Orduno is an associate in the law firm of McGreevy Williams. He is a Rockford College alum and received his JD from John Marshall Law School. His practice includes business litigation and transactions, as well as matters related to land use and construction.</p>
<p><strong>Douglas B. Rasmussen: Aristotle and Contemporary Ethics</strong><br />
April  23 &#038; 26</p>
